Boards that stay readable
A card shows four things: its key, its title, who is on it, and one small chip. Tags are a thin colour bar, not a row of pills. Drag a card to another column and it stays there, even after a restart.
Time tracking that is not a chore
Start a timer on the task you are looking at. Or add time you forgot to track. Comments and an activity feed sit next to it, so the record writes itself.
Epics, releases and tags
Three levels of work: epic, task, subtask. Plus releases and tags for each project, each with a screen of its own. The epic a card belongs to shows on the board.
My Work, sorted by when
Everything assigned to you, as Overdue, Today, This week, Later and No date. Plus a private to-do list with reminders, for the small things that never deserved a ticket.
Realtime, properly
Two people on the same board see each other's moves without a refresh. If your connection drops, the app catches up when it is back.
Saved views and filters
Build a filter once. Save it. Share it with your workspace. The same view drives the board and the list, so nobody has to rebuild a search to see what you saw.
Pull requests on the card
Put a task key in a pull request. It shows on the task, and the card can move when the pull request opens or merges.

The desktop app is built around a command palette and a few bare keys. A reference sheet is one keystroke away. Window size and position survive a restart. On a Mac there is a real menu bar.

devBoard is an MCP server. Connect it once. Then your assistant can read the ticket it is working on, open new ones, comment, move the card and track the time. It acts as you, in one workspace, with your role.

Built for your phone and your Mac
devBoard is an app built for each platform, not a website in a window. The desktop build is made for a pointer and a keyboard. The phone build is not the desktop layout with the sidebar taken off. Rows, sheets and tap targets are its own.
There is no web version, and there will not be one. The app opens at once, even with no signal, and shows your My Work list. Boards and edits need a connection. More about the apps.

Can I use it yet?
Yes. Get it on the App Store for iPhone and Mac, or on Google Play for Android. Windows and Linux are still being packaged.
Is there a web version?
No, and that is on purpose. A tracker you open twenty times a day should open at once and show your board. A browser tab is the wrong shape for that. devBoard is an app on every platform it ships to. Here is why.
How is it different from ClickUp, Jira or Linear?
It is smaller on purpose. There are no portfolios, no automation builder and no custom field designer. You get boards, three levels of work, releases, tags, saved views, comments, attachments and time tracking. Then it stops. Does it work for a team, or just one person?
Both. Workspaces, members, roles and invites were in from the first version. A freelancer with several clients gets a workspace for each client. A small team shares one.
Does it work with AI coding assistants?
Yes. devBoard is an MCP server. Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code and Claude Desktop can search and read your items. They can create and edit them, comment, move cards and log time, acting as you. The setup takes about a minute.
What does it cost?
Free while in early access; paid plans will be one plain number, posted here first. It will not be a grid of seat tiers.
